Stella Stokes, Yurok/Cheyenne River Sioux/Turtle Mountain Chippewa, age 22, is passionate about suicide prevention and sex education. She aims to make a positive change for native youth and remind them that they are important. Bringing her background in conflict mediation and suicide prevention, Stella knows it is normal to argue or disagree with people and everyone at one time or another feels down. But she wants to let native youth know, that we are not alone and together we can support one another through tough times and come out stronger in the end.
