ASK YOUR RELATIVE QUESTIONS

What did you learn from overcoming hardship?

Good question.

What I have learned is that hardship, difficult times, pain, emotional pain, mental pain, physical pain… It’s a definitive aspect of being alive, being a human. It’s probably more definitive than joy or feeling excitement because it’s really pain that unites us, brings us together, teaches us that we need each other in order to survive.

We need one another to depend upon during those hard, hard times. If there’s any lesson I’ve learned through the hardship moments of my life, is that I need folks around me to process that pain, to heal from that pain. I need friends, I need relatives, I need community.
