ASK YOUR RELATIVE QUESTIONS

Auntie Nikki, how did your program get made?

First of all I want to say quyana for this question.

Quyana in Yup’ik means thank you. I started Sew Yup’ik in the summer of 2015 just by sewing qaspeqs and it has really taken off since then. And I have been able to travel around the state and teach sewing classes to individuals of all ages. But it all started with a passion and I just followed it, my dreams. And I pursued it. And so if you find something that you love, if you have a passion or a dream I say go for it and follow your heart and really put in the work to try and make it a reality. And if you need a cheerleader along the way don’t ever to hesitate to reach out I will be your biggest cheerleader.

I hope that this video finds you well and I hope go out and follow what you love doing.

Quyana.
