My name is Philip Douglas. I am 16 years old, I am an enrolled member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, and I am also of Comanche, Kiowa, Apache, Creek, and Cherokee descent. I am currently serving as a Generation Indigenous Youth Ambassador and Center for Native American Youth Ambassador, serve as a volunteer for Indian Health Service and Indian Education Programs. Last year I attended the White House Tribal Youth Gathering and I served as a White House Tribal Nations Conference Youth Delegate, where I was selected to participate in a youth panel with President Barack Obama and made a MTV Rebel Music: Generation Indigenous Soaring video. I am a member of the Norman High School’s track and cross country teams, Norman High’s Indian Club, and United National Indian Tribal Youth (UNITY).
