Sex 101
Generally speaking, sexual activity is any activity — either alone or solitary, between two persons, or in a group — that gets you aroused sexually. It’s important to practice safe sex to prevent unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
STIs (or STDs) are infections you can get from skin to skin contact with another person’s genitals or anus. They’re super common — more than half of all people get one by the time they’re 25. Since a lot of STIs don’t have any symptoms, many people don’t even know they have one. Getting tested is the best way to know for sure if you or your partner has an STI.
Testing at a Clinic
You can get tested for STDs at your Tribal or community health Clinic. If you would like a little more privacy, you can also check out the Planned Parenthood website, or find a Planned Parenthood Health Center near you.
Testing at Home
If you live far away from a clinic, it is also possible to test yourself at home. We know a great service you can use to test yourself for free wherever you want — at home, at school, or in another safe space. This service is called Indigi-IWTK (I Want The Kit).
